Ceawlin od Wessexa

Ceawlin (također navođen kao Ceaulin i Caelin, ? - cca. 593) bio je kralj Wessexa. Historičari pretpostavljaju da je bio sin kralja Cynrica, odnosno unuk Cerdic od Wessexa, saksonskog vođe pod kojim je, prema Anglo-saksonskoj kronici stvorena kraljevina Wessex. Ceawlin je bio važna ličnost tokom posljednje faze anglosaksonskog osvajanja Britanije, te je u vrijeme njegove smrti tek mali dio današnje južne Engleske ostao pod vlašću domorodačkih Brita.

Prema navodima kasnijih kronika, godine 592. ga je svrgnuo kralj Ceol njegov nećak. Ceawlin je umro godinu dana kasnije.

Praunuci njegovog sina Cuthwinea su decenijama kasnije postali kraljevima Wessexa, a od njega potiču i prvi kraljevi ujedinjene Engleske.
