Helmold dari Bosau, lahir pada sekitar tahun 1120 di dekat Goslar, meninggal setelah tahun 1177 di Bosau, merupakan seorang penulis sejarah dan imam Sachsen pada abad kedua belas. Ia adalah sahabat dari dua uskup Oldenburg in Holstein, Vicelinus (†1154) dan Gerold (†1163), yang melakukan banyak hal untuk mengkristenkan Slavia Polabia.
