The KLF

The KLF oli 1990-luvun alussa suosionsa huipulla ollut englantilainen vastakulttuurillinen yhtye, joka tunnettiin myös nimillä Timelords ja Justified Ancients of Mu Mu (JAMs). Sen perustivat Bill Drummond (alias King Boy D) ja Jimmy Cauty (alias Rockman Rock) vuonna 1987.^[1] Yhtyeen tunnetuin kappale on todennäköisesti "What Time Is Love?", josta on aikojen kuluessa tehty useita eri versioita. Lyhenteen KLF alkuperästä on joitain eri spekulaatioita, kuten "Kopyright Liberation Front" ja "Kings of the Low Frequencies".

Yhtye lopetti toimintansa näyttävästi ja kiistanalaisesti vuonna 1992 Brit Awards -palkintojuhlassa esiintymällä yhdessä Extreme Noise Terror -yhtyeen kanssa, ampumalla automaattiaseella paukkupanoksia yleisöä kohti ja heittämällä kuolleen lampaan portaille juhlan jälkeen. Tämän lisäksi he poistivat koko yhtyeen tuotannon myynnistä. Myöhemmin ryhmä siirtyi toimimaan nykytaiteen kentälle ottaen nimen K-Foundation. Heidän tunnetuin taideaktionsa on miljoonan punnan polttaminen, josta tehtiin 50-minuuttinen dokumentti Watch The K-Foundation Burn A Million Quid.
