Alincthun (French pronunciation: [alɛ̃ktœ̃]) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.

Geography

A small farming commune comprising 12 hamlets, some 10 miles (16 km) east of Boulogne, at the junction of the D238e2 and the D137 roads. The river Liane flows through the village.

Transport

The Chemin de fer de Boulogne à Bonningues (CF de BB) opened a station serving Le Wast and Alincthun on 22 April 1900.[4] Passenger services were withdrawn on 31 December 1935.[5] They were reinstated in November 1942.[6] The CF de BB closed in 1948.[7]

  • Three 17th-century manor houses at La Guilbauderie, Le Fay and Bois-du-Coq.
