The captain Apisai Koroisau retains his captaincy for his 2nd consecutive season, while Head Coach Benji Marshall has his 1st season at his position.

The Tigers played the New Zealand Warriors in Christchurch and the St. George Illawarra Dragons in Mudgee as their pre-season fixtures. Both matches were part of the second edition of the NRL Pre-season Challenge.[1]
